You Are Everything Xceptional!

Rev. Joretha Wright, aka Rev. Rita, is a comedian, published author, preacher and women and girl’s advocate. She has a Bachelor of Science in Human Services and Counseling and a Master of Divinity in Theology Studies. After coping with trauma, pain, and rejection, she learned to cultivate strength through her faith and find healing through laughter.

Today, Rev. Rita aims to empower women and serves as a voice for those who cannot advocate for themselves. She believes laughter is the best medicine and carries this with her throughout her work. Rev. Rita is the founder of the GreatHer Women’s Collective. She is an entrepreneur that emphasizes advocacy, inclusivity, and feminine equity. Her non-profit organizations reflect such a call. iJoy, LLC provides resources for girls living in or aging out of foster care. As a Certified Life Coach, she combines her talent for humor with her deep empathy to foster growth and healing. Rev. Rita connects with each person she works with, giving them the tools to find their innate confidence and strength.

In addition to working with women and girls, Rev. Rita’s deep love for animals inspired her to start Interfaith Pet Care and Chaplaincy, LLC. By serving as a Licensed Pet Grief Specialist, she offers guidance and comfort to those who have pets that have transitioned. She understands the grief of losing a beloved pet can be just as deep as losing a family member. Using her faith, she helps her clients find peace and solace in their grief. She is a philanthropist, for her non-profit organization More Heart which provides financial gift opportunities for low-income individuals and Veterans seeking to gain a service pet.

Rev. Rita believes that laughter can open your heart to deep and lasting transformation. With humor, she’s been able to shift her life experience into something full of joy and purpose. By leaning into her faith and following her passions, she’s able to inspire her community to do the same.

“Laughter saved my life; it helped me realize that even God can make life good and funny”.
